In memory of a truly remarkable individual, we are honored to announce Lincoln Strawhun as the deserving recipient of our giveaway. This unique story and situation has deeply touched our hearts.
Lincoln Strawhun, a devoted Reservist in the US Navy since 2003, served his country with pride and commitment, facing multiple deployments over the years. Unfortunately, this Spring, Lincoln’s life took an unexpected turn when he went to the ER for a headache. A brain tumor was discovered, and after surgery, he never regained consciousness, passing away on April 21st, 2023.
Despite his many accomplishments in his career, Lincoln considered his greatest achievement to be a dedicated and loving father to his three daughters: Betina, Barcelona, and Iliana, and a loving husband to his wife, Beatriz. Bringing happiness to his family was his greatest joy.
During their grief, the Strawhun family faced another challenge when their basement flooded about six weeks ago. This unfortunate event forced them to remove the hardwood floor, leaving bare concrete.
We can’t think of a family more deserving of our giveaway. The Strawhun family has endured heartache after heartache and could use a much-needed pick-me-up. Betina, the oldest daughter, is a senior in high school this year, and her mom, Beatriz, wants nothing more than to provide her with a great last year at home while striving to find some sense of normalcy in their lives without their beloved dad.
Lincoln dedicated a significant part of his life to serving his country and spending time away from his family. This is a beautiful opportunity to give back to a family that has had so much taken from them. Lincoln’s memory will forever remind us of the sacrifices made by those who serve, and this gesture of kindness is a small way to honor his legacy.
Lincoln’s memory will forever shine brightly, and we hope that our small contribution can bring some comfort and joy to the Strawhun family as they navigate life without their beloved husband and father. We’re excited to announce that we will be installing their new floor in Spring 2024, a step toward creating a more comfortable and beautiful home for them.
